I love funky lighting fixtures! Anthropologie carries amazing lighting, but it’s mucho expensivo. On a recent trip to the White Elephant I spotted some great pieces, all of them under $100.

Antique stores are wonderful places to look for items that resemble things carried by the likes of Anthropologie and Sundance. A few pointers:

1. Antique dealers will usually give you a better price than what’s on the tag. Strike up a conversation, get to know a little about the item. If they sense you’re really interested they will generally offer a better deal.

2. If you can do it, pay cash. Dealers love it and will offer an even better bargain.

3. Become a regular at a store. The better your relationship with the antique store owner, the more deals you’ll be able to score. Plus, he or she might put things aside as they come in if they know what you look for.
